Research Events
We are committed to sharing ideas, developing our staff and research students, and attracting academic and industry leaders from across the world.
Our major research strengths are in the following five fields:
Accounting
Our accounting research focuses on collecting and analysing information to drive business performance, and scrutinising governance mechanisms and accountability structures within and outside organisations.
Entrepreneurship
Research here investigates the characteristics and behaviour of successful entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial teams, new-venture creation and performance, firm innovation and growth, and entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystems.
Finance and Banking
We analyse mergers and acquisitions, corporate financing and investment policies, payout policies, banking, funds management and risk management.
Management
Topics explored include the socioeconomic impact of various project management methods, systems, and the human aspects of cyber security.
Marketing
Our marketing research includes work in the fields of engagement, value co-creation, business networks and wine business.
