Charlie Galton, Master of Applied Finance
"I am currently completing my fourth internship, all of which have been coordinated through the University of Adelaide's internship office. They have all been within the Finance industry but the range has varied from working in a retail bank on a customer service project, working with a start up company helping them build their Financial model to seek investment, working in a boutique hedge fund trading futures, to working in a manufacturing facility looking at improving process efficiencies. Each internship has offered a deeper understanding of the varying range of specialised areas within Finance, has offered an understanding of how different businesses operate, and has given the opportunity for me to apply the theoretical knowledge learned in my subjects in a practical, real world environment. The internships have been particularly helpful in assisting me select the area of Finance that I wish to specialise in, and has provided experience to include in my resume to make me valuable to potential employers." - Charlie Galton, Master of Applied Finance
