Associate Professor Armando Corsi
Dr. Armando Maria Corsi is an Associate Professor in Wine Business at the University of Adelaide. His key area of research is the analysis of consumer behaviour, particularly towards wine and other premium foods and beverages. Dr. Corsi has been chief investigator of some major projects funded by Wine Australia examining the effects of non-price promotions in store, tracking the ever-changing Chinese wine market, improving the techniques to describe wines to Asian consumers, and exploring the most effective ways to teach them about wine. More recently, Dr. Corsi completed another two projects about the perceptions of Australian wines and its key competitors by trade, key influencers and suppliers in the US and the UK. Member of the Editorial Board of Food Quality and Preference, the International Journal of Market Research, the Wine and Viticulture Journal, and Economia e Diritto Agroalimentare, Armando is author of more than 70 refereed papers, book chapters and trade articles on wine and food marketing.

Dr. Rebecca Dolan
Rebecca's research agenda focuses on understanding, facilitating and optimising customer relationships, engagement, and online communication strategies. Rebecca has a specific interest in the role that digital and social media play in the modern marketing communications environment. This involves understanding the way in which customers engage online both, with brands, products, services, and each other. Additionally, Rebecca's research explores the motivations of consumers to engage through digital platforms.

Associate Professor Steve Goodman
Dr Steve Goodman is an Associate Professor in Marketing at the University of Adelaide Business School. He is an active researcher in the area of wine marketing - specifically consumer choice and business decision making in the wine supply chain context.
He has published wine marketing research in academic journals, presented papers at leading academic conferences and published extensively in editor reviewed industry journals.
In 2006 Steve was awarded a nationally competitive grant from the Grape and Wine Research Development Corporation (GWRDC) to map the influences of consumer choice for wine selection, a research project in conjunction with the Wine Marketing Group at UniSA and collaborators in 11 other countries. In 2009 he was awarded a grant from the GWRDC to study the decision influencers along the wine supply chain in Australia, China and the USA and in 2012 awarded funding from AWGA (formerly GWRDC) to investigate the role of social media in wine brand growth.

Mr. Nigel Barker
Nigel is a Certified Practising Marketer and adjunct lecturer for The University of Adelaide and the Adelaide Graduate School of Business and regularly lectures for various graduate schools and universities throughout Australia and overseas.
Nigel has taught a wide range of subjects including, Strategic Marketing, International Marketing, Consumer Behaviour, Marketing Communications and Brand Management.
Following his move from the UK in 1997 where Nigel held a range of marketing positions, he gained his Masters in Marketing from Charles Sturt University. Nigel now focuses most of his attention on academic lecturing and undertakes many classes for both The University of Adelaide and AGSB. Nigel also runs his own marketing consultancy and has undertaken projects for a range of Adelaide based organisations as well as for various government institutions in conjunction with his lecturing commitments.

Mr. Domenic Carbone
Domenic has lectured primarily in taxation law courses since joining the University. His excellence in teaching was acknowledged by the University inviting and accepting him into the inaugural members of The Adelaide University Education Academy established in 2016.
Domenic's background in taxation law extends beyond academia and includes experience in both the private and public sectors.
Prior to him joining the University, Domenic was a Tax Manager with a "Big 6" professional services firm where he was mainly involved in the tax consulting, tax audit and indirect tax areas.

Professor Larry Lockshin
Dr. Larry Lockshin is Professor of Wine Marketing and former Head of the School of Marketing at the University of South Australia. He has a PhD from Ohio State University in Marketing and a Masters from Cornell University in Viticulture. Dr. Lockshin has spent more than 29 years working with the wine industry, first as a viticulturist and now as a marketing academic and consultant.
Professor Lockshin has published over 100 academic articles and over 250 trade articles on wine marketing.
His research interests are consumer choice behaviour for wine and wine industry strategy. He is currently working on: reducing the carbon footprint of heavy glass packaging for wine, modelling of consumer choice for wine based on simulated shopping experiments and large panel data sets, packaging and retail influences on choice, and success factors for small and medium sized wineries.

Dr. Darren Oemcke
Darren Oemcke is a partner in Hydra Consulting a business, working across wine, food, spirits and
manufacturing. His 20 years of work in the wine sector work ranges from winery and packaging facilities and
winery operations through to packaging performance, tourism, consumer analysis, exporting, sales and wine
business education. He works extensively on international wine marketing activations, currently pioneering
models for virtual engagement with trade and consumers for Australian wine. His focus includes effective
operations, growth, adaptation and consumer engagement. He also works extensively with start-up’s in
EdTech, marketing, AgTech, WineTech and tourism.He is the Chair of Riverland Wine, Managing Director of experience-based tourism business Invina, Director
of Surfing South Australia, Director of Magmell Pty Ltd and Head Coach of the FOMENT wine and tourism
tech accelerator.As well as a Master’s degree in management from the ANU, Darren has studied business and leadership at
internationally leading business schools including the University of Adelaide, the Melbourne Business School,
Harvard and Monash-Mt Eliza School of Business. He has Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD qualifications in
Engineering, and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.He is part the Wine Business group in the Adelaide Business School teaching entrepreneurship and wine
retail. -
Ms. Robin Shaw
Robin Shaw is the founder of Wine Tourism Australia, a consultancy business that specialises in helping wineries and wine regions maximise their tourism and direct sales potential. She has an extensive wine and tourism background that includes management roles at The Australian Wine Club, Jacob’s Creek Visitor Centre, South Australian Tourism Commission, Winemakers’ Federation of Australia and Adelaide Hills Wine.
In 2004 Robin received a prestigious Winston Churchill Fellowship to study global wine tourism innovation, after which she developed a suite of industry resources, including ‘The Australian Wine Tourism Toolkit’. Robin runs Cellar Door Performance Improvement Programs for Australian wineries which entails a comprehensive cellar door and digital audit, direct consultation and team training, along with an International Wine Tourism Study Tour program. She also co-presents Wine Australia’s Growing Wine Tourism program and regularly runs Direct to Consumer Wine Sales workshops.
Robin’s industry insights and dynamic presentation style have led to her emergence as a highly regarded international public speaker at forums such as the annual International Wine Tourism Conference. She is a current board member of Wine Industry Suppliers Australia and joint recipient of the 2019 Wine Industry Impact Award for Tourism.

Mr. Paul van der Lee
Paul van der Lee’s 28 years in the Australian wine industry has encompassed thought leadership, operational and education roles in wine businesses and in wine industry organisations.
Paul has been Chief Executive of a 200,000 case winery; an independent wine business consultant; a senior executive for the Winemakers’ Federation of Australia (now Australian Grape and Wine); export business development manager for the South Australian Wine Industry Association; a Board member of Wine Australia for 6 years; and a content developer and presenter for wine industry capability enhancement.
In those roles he has:
- Managed distribution and marketing of Australian wine brands in export markets, including hands-on sales and business development for 20 export markets
- Designed and delivered an export market entry program for small wine producers which achieved distribution and sales for members
- Led the development of three major wine sector strategy initiatives – Strategy 2025 (1996), The Marketing Decade (2000) and the Wine Restructuring Action Agenda (2010)
- Turned around the profitability of a 200,000 case winery
- Acted as a wine marketing expert witness in legal proceedings and advice for due diligence of wine business acquisitions
- Developed the programs for the national Wine Marketing Conferences (1999-2005) and Wine Industry Outlook Conferences (2010 and 2012)
- Developed and presented WineSkills workshops that enhanced the business capability of small wine businesses
- Joint content developer and presenter of the Wine Australia Growing Wine Exports seminars and workshops throughout Australian wine regions during 2018 and 2019.
- Course coordinator and lecturer in the Master of Wine Business university degree, 2013 - 2021.
- Editor of The South Australian Wine Story 2020, an investment attraction publication for the South Australian Government (English and Chinese editions)

Mr. Simon West
Specialising in taking Australia's best wine brands to the world. Simon West is one of Australia’s leading independent wine sales experts, supporting the development of Australian wine brands and marketing and selling wines in the USA, China, Japan, Korea, Canada and domestically in Australia.
His experience includes brand building in international markets (e.g. Mollydooker’s USA market entry), online wine sales (General Manager of Grays Online - Wine), distressed product sales, new product development for both large and niche products. He has experience at all price points from bulk wine through to $1,000/bottle products.
He advises extensively in the management of wine and wine tourism business, was part of Wine Australia’s 'Marketing Advisory Group' and has trained hundreds of Australian wineries on exporting in Wine Australia’s 'Growing Wine Exports' program.

Professor Kerry Wilkinson
Kerry is a Professor of Oenology at The University of Adelaide. Her primary research interests concern the flavour chemistry of grapes and wine, for example: the impact of bushfire smoke on grapes and wine; the improved utility of oak wood for wine maturation; and the influence of production method on the composition and sensory profiles of sparkling wine. Other areas of interest include the chemical and sensory analysis of foods and beverages, and their appeal to consumers.
