Angeli Damodaran's internship experience as a Project Policy Officer at Junction
Our Bachelor of Project Management program is focussed on delivering positive results for business, government and the community.
From the first year of study, Project Management students are exposed to a range of practical internships, study abroad opportunities and Small-Group learning with like-minded peers. Students will have the choice to tailor their studies to their interests as by taking on areas of specialisations.
Our Bachelor of Project Management offers career-focussed electives or broader electives in Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Project managers are expected to take charge of complex tasks and keep things on track. They recruit people, coordinate activities, organise and problem-solve.
Project Management graduates will develop passion, resolve and vision for problem-solving throughout their degree.

Angeli Damodaran, Bachelor of Project Management and Bachelor of International Development student shares her internship experience as a Project Policy Officer at the University of Adelaide and Junction.
“I undertook my internship with Regency Foundation Networx, their flagship program is ResponsibleMe, designed to help South African youth to make responsible choices about their livelihoods, as well as be informed to make confident decisions about safe sexual practices, reproductive health and emotional wellbeing.
During my 10-weekl long internship, I was able to expand their program by reaching out to other NGOs to create partnerships to provide further services, such as entrepreneurship programs and healthcare access. I also wrote proposals, managed their Facebook page and created a new website for the organisation.
This internship enabled my first insight into working in the international development field and now more than ever, I am certain this is the field I want to pursue. Over the three months I have learnt to be adaptable to work in a new environment and become more confident in sharing my ideas. I am also more proficient in time management through working on concurrent projects” - Angeli Damodaran.
