Finance And Banking
The Finance and Banking cluster encompasses and promotes all aspects of finance-related research that currently takes place across the Business School and the International Centre for Financial Studies at the University of Adelaide.
Our research includes mergers and acquisitions, corporate financing and investment policies, payout policies, banking, funds management and risk management. Cluster members publish in top-tier finance journals such as Journal of Financial Economics, Review of Finance, Journal of Accounting and Economics, Journal of Corporate Finance and Journal of Banking and Finance.
The research we generate is aimed to have an impact on the way policy makers and financial institutions operate. Cluster members through the International Centre for Financial Studies are regularly involved in consulting with several financial and policy-making institutions.
Our academic network is global in scope and we closely collaborate with colleagues from a wide range of overseas universities and business schools, through our international visitor program.
The Adelaide Business School also hosts a series of research seminars that are attended by staff, postgraduate and honours degree students as part of our commitment to research and scholarship development and exchange.
