Adelaide Business School Prize and Awards Ceremony 2022
This year’s Business School Prize and Awards Ceremony was held in style on 10 May at the National Wine Centre to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our students.
Hosts Lorraine Caruso (Adelaide Business School) and Professor Noel Lindsay (Dean of Business, Adelaide Business School) welcomed guest speaker and distinguished alumna Dr Eva Balan-Vnuk (Chief Information Officer, Department of Premier and Cabinet), who gave an inspirational address to prize winners.
Dr Balan-Vnuk spoke about the key attributes of character, failure and values. She emphasised that skills and qualifications are important, but so is character, and the energy that a person brings with them when they enter the room. Dr Balan-Vnuk talked about the importance of team-work and collaboration, and the necessity to view failure with a growth mindset and resilience.
Dr Balan-Vnuk urged the leaders of tomorrow to exercise courage, compassion and creativity, and above all to reflect on their moral compass in all their undertakings.
“We congratulate and recognise our high achieving students for the hard work and resolve they have demonstrated and were so pleased to celebrate these achievements. We also express our gratitude to our industry sponsors for their generosity. Without our sponsors, the student awards and prizes would not be possible. Thank you!”Noel Lindsay
“I felt proud and honoured to receive these awards. It’s great to be acknowledged for my hard work during the year, and I am glad to have gained so much knowledge and experience at University that I can now apply in my career.”David Talladira
