The Master of International Management will prepare you for a career in international business and management, and help you develop the conceptual and practical skills necessary for effective operational and strategic responses to increasing globalisation of the world economy at the organisational and interpersonal levels. 

Upon graduating from the program, you will be well equipped to enter an organisation that recognises the impact of the global economy. Typical workplaces may include multinational corporations, government departments dealing with cross-border issues, international consulting firms, and small-to-medium-sized organisations with an international scope to their operations.

Who is this program for?

Program Length Outline
2 years For individuals from unrelated career/educational backgrounds, the two-year program provides an opportunity for a smooth transition into a business focused career. Designed to accommodate the needs of both recent graduates and individuals who have already gained industry experience, the Master of International Management provides the skillset needed to fast-track a career in management.
1.5 years The shorter 1.5 year option has been tailored towards the needs of graduates from business disciplines to further expand and refine their ability to manage the complexities of international business and how to navigate the global workforce.

A true global experience

Master of International Management students also have the opportunity to complete an internationally accredited double degree at our partner institutions including EM Strasbourg Business School, Corvinus University of Budapest, and Ca' Foscari University of Venice.

Through direct exposure to the world of international business, students experience a broad range of business contexts, which provide an unrivalled opportunity to learn and appreciate the complexities and challenges of conducting business around the globe.

The program is comprehensive in developing the conceptual and practical skills necessary for effective operational and strategic responses to complex dynamic global forces at the organisational, interpersonal and individual levels. These skills are in high demand by organisations in all industries that deal with the challenges and opportunities created by increasing globalisation of the world economy.

Conceptual knowledge is further supplemented through the compulsory applied international experience component, in addition to the development of the research skills required to address and solve both applied and theoretical challenges. These practical skills are highly valued by employers and will give you a competitive edge in the workforce.

Admissions 

Entry requirements

Bachelor degree in any field of knowledge. Your degree must be equivalent to a 3-year bachelor degree under the Australian Qualifications Framework (Level 7).

The shorter 1.5-year study is available to graduates with a Bachelor degree in a related discipline and a GPA of 4.5.

English Language Proficiency - International applicants must have a minimum IELTS test score of 6.5 average with a minimum of 6 in each band.

  Eligible domestic candidates may have the option of deferring the cost of their tuition to FEE-HELP.


Applications

Both domestic and international candidates are required to submit their applications through SATAC. This process takes an average of 4 weeks to complete but may require additional time.
